The world we live in today is changing rapidly. It can be hard to know where to show your support and help out where it is needed the most. Over the years, I have personally watched a lot of documentaries about people being locked up for possessions that are now legal in many parts of the world. My first thought when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, was wondering how the prison systems would stay healthy. It didn't take many weeks before the news spread that many prisoners had contracted the virus.

After watching the Netflix documentary "13TH" I knew that this compilation would support organizations that fight for justice in the prison system. Because that is what feels right in my heart.

Due to ongoing protests, many people are getting arrested for no other reason than racism.

Backpack Records is a small community, but we have a voice too. Our system is broken and we are ready to fight for change! If you are not able to donate anything, at least help us spread the word :)
